Troilokyanath Mukhopadhyay was born in Rahuta Village of Chabbishparagana, West Bengal in 1847. He was a self educated man.He was a school teacher in Daroka (Birbhum),Ukhra (Raniganj) and in Sahajadpur (Sirajganj)and afterward, a police sub-inspector in Cuttack (1868).
